Childhood obesity rate have definitely gone up and it is interfering with the military now. It is no longer just a health issue to be obese, it is now being referred to as a national security issue. Statistics show in young adults that one out of four of them would be too overweight to join the U.S. Military. We are the only major country that has this many problems with people being overweight in the armed forces. As a attempt to ending obesity or at least making the rates go down, schools are trying to feel healthier lunches to schools all around the country.

Shark To The Rescue
On September 11, 2012 a man was found deserted in the pacific ocean on a boat with no gas. Toakai Teitoi was stranded for 166 days and was guided to another boat by a shark. On May 27, 2012 Teitoi and his brother-in-law were headed home when they decided to go fishing and sleep on the boat. When they woke up they did not know where they were and they had no more gas. They were stranded and low on drinkable water. On July 4, 2012 Teitoi's brother-in-law died from dehydration. Shortly after he passed there was a rain storm and Teitoi stored up some water. On September 11, 2012 Teitoi woke up to a scratching on the side of his boat. It was a shark circling his boat and bumping into it. When Teitoi looked up he saw a boat of fishermen, Teitoi says the shark was guiding him to the other boat, the shark saved his life.

Smuggling A Slender Loris
On September 10, 2012, a man was caught trying to smuggle a Slender Loris in his pants through airport security. In New Delhi at the New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport, a man headed to Dubai was being patted down at the airport, which is standard procedure, and they found a rare little creature in his pants. The Slender Loris is a rare and endangered species that is listed under the Wildlife Protection Act of India. The security at the airport found a second Slender Loris hidden inside of a garbage can. Both of the Slender Loris's were taken into custody of wildlife authorities.

Scientology Splits Family
Actor Tom Cruise and wife, Katie Holmes, are splitting up. What people thought was a perfect family, is far from it. Tom Cruise was raised through Scientology and wanted his and Katie's daughter, Suri (6), to be raised through Scientology as well. Holmes didn't exactly like the idea of her daughter going down the path of Scientology because there are no rules or boundaries. Cruise arrives back to New York City from shooting a movie to visit Suri for the first time since the divorce settlement. The two spent the weekend together doing all sorts of activities, they were inseparable. Latest word on Suri and her schooling is that she will no longer be attending a Scientology based school, she will now be going to an all girls Catholic school that Holmes has chosen. Haven't heard word yet on how Cruise feels about Suri leaving Scientology.
