2013

Okay, so here is what I think will happen on Friday 21, 2012. I think that the world will not end. I do think that the stupid people of the world are all going to join together and try something very, very stupid because they are thinking that the world will end so no harm will come to them if they do bad things. I think that 2013 will be a rough year for us all. The people of the world will start turning on each other, more wars will go on. Our country will lose more money, companies will close up, the unemployment line gets longer. The economy will go down the toilet. If we can make it through 2013, then we will be fine because 2014 will be a heck of a lot better.

Flight For Life Crash-3 Killed

On Monday, December 10, 2012, there was a helicopter crash at night time in Rochelle. A medical helicopter crashed and killed two nurses and the pilot. The helicopter was headed between two northern Illinois hospitals and it crashed into a field. There were no patients on the helicopter with them, only the two nurses and the pilot. The helicopter was on their way to go pick up a patient at a hospital in Mendota. Police are still trying to figure out what happened and what caused the helicopter to crash. The hospitals are filled with sorrow but they are remembering their colleagues as "three heroes dedicated their careers to serving others." That's a good way to remember these  three people by.

On Tuesday night, four people were found dead in their home in Detroit. Three men and one woman were shot to death. Apparently, the neighborhood they lived in had been having odd things happen and there were many vacant houses. The police have no leads and are not disclosing any further information. This year, the homicide rates have gone up in Detroit since last year. Last year's homicide rates finished at 344 and since Thanksgiving this year it has already reached 354. An idea to stop the crime is to add more mini-police stations all around the city. It is a good thing that they are actually doing something to change their crime rates and are thinking about the safety of the people.

Public Bus Kills Boy

Last night, November 27, a young boy named David Granados, was killed by a bus. But the boy was not riding the bus or walking on the sidewalk. No, this 6-year old was going to bed when the bus hit him, driving off the side of the road and crashing into his home. David shared a room with his 7-year old brother and his brother was already in bed when David got up to close their door. It was then that this bus swerved to avoid hitting a pedestrian who was clearly not paying attention to the bus, even though it had honked several times. The bus swerved to the right, hit a curb and went into this home in Hempstead, New York.

Car Bombings in Iraq

On Wednesday there were multiple bombs set off in Iraq, on was aimed to attack a security convoy in Baghdad, one person was killed and several wounded in this attack. Another bombing was in Kirkuk and this time at least nine lives were taking, some soldiers included, and about thirty one were wounded in this attack. Another attack was in Hilla near a market and five people were killed and many were wounded. And the last one was set of in Diyala Provence, injured eleven people. Apparently the violence rate has gone down in Iraq but there have still be many attacks on the security and the communities.

Vicious African Painted Dogs

Recently there was a tragedy at the Pittsburgh zoo, a young boy was eaten alive by 11 African Painted dogs. The little boy was looking at the exhibit when he fell over the railing and into the African Painted Dogs exhibit, the dogs attacked him immediately and killed him. The staff knew that there was nothing they could do to save the boy as soon as he'd fallen in. When the police tried to get access to the scene, there was one dog that would not leave. With permission from the zoo, they shot the stubborn dog. The museum is currently closed and there is talk of an investigation team being sent there from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

Postpone Voting?

Many know about Hurricane Sandy and how it has effected people so  much. Well since the powers out and everything is kind of trashed, what about the election? How are people suppose to vote when the power is out? And when are they going to have time to do that? Obviously their lives are busy enough trying to fix things and repair their homes. Many are asking if voting will be postponed until things are under control, but really, we can't postpone a voting. If that were to happen just because of one or two states having problem then it is Equal Protection Challenge and that could be brought into court. One of the options right now is for people to use paper ballads for voting in those states without power. There should be enough paper ready at hand in those places and voting will go on. The weather can't stop an election!
