A Little Extreme for Schools?
Do you believe in corporal punishment for children? Would you let one of your kids teacher physically punish them if they were misbehaving? What if your child had a disorder and struggled to control it? There are stories all over the world of children dying from different sorts of punishments that their schools are giving them. Many special needs children are punished for behavioral problems and disruptions but it is hard for them to control some things. Some teachers have put students in to bags that are made specifically to restrain children and contain them. Children have suffocated inside of these bags. Other children have been put inside a very small padded room or cabinet as a punishment. Lives are being taken, this is one step too far for punishments.

Possible Jail Time For Saving Bambi
Two years ago a couple in Indiana rescued an injured baby deer and nursed it back to health. The found it on their neighbor's porch and the fawn was wounded and needed help. So they brough the baby deer home, named her Little Orphan Dani and took care of her. It's two years later and now Jeff and Jennifer Counceller might possible face jail time with a misdemeanor for harboring a fawn. The possible charge would be unlawful possession of a deer. The punishments for this offense are up to 60 days in hail and possibly a $2,000 fine. Who knew Little Orphan Dani was this much trouble?

Parenting Gone Wrong
A couple from Ohio have been charged with the offense of putting their children in plastic boxes for punishment. The couple is pleading guilty to this. As a punishment, these parents would put their children of ages 5, 6 and 8, into plastic storage boxes. They would duct tape the cover on and they would cut a small square on the cover for them to breathe through. Now tell me, what child deserves this?? No matter what the children did, this is inappropriate parenting. This kind of behavior is uncalled for and I feel so sorry for those children. The father is getting 1 year in jail and the mother gets 2 years of probation. I think they should get worse punishments.

Birth On A Plane
This weekend on a plane ride from Russia to Armenia there was a baby girl born. When a woman started going into labor and there were still 2 hours left of plane ride, they had no choice but to deliver the baby on the plane. The mother of the child, Armina Babayan, had told the airport that she was only 6 and a half months along, but obviously she was a little further along than that. Asmik Gevondyan was one of the flight attendants on the plane and she was the one who organized the delivery with the rest of their crew. Reporters say that the mother, Babayan, named her daughter Asmik, after the flight attendant. How sweet is that?

Cheetos Trail
On January 2, 2013 there was a robbery at a convenience store. It took place in North Carolina and the thief was a 19 year old man named Austin Presler. Presler was robbing the store when he opened up a Cheetos bag and started eating them. Apparently Presler spilled some Cheetos on the floor of the convenience store. The police had him down as a suspect and when the police went to search his home and figure out if he was the thief, they found more Cheetos on his porch and his walkway to his door. The police took him into custody right away.

On Wednesday, January 2, 2013, a man named, David Zehntner, and his wife were flying home from vacation in North Carolina in his own personal, small plane. He was flying over his house in Florida when he noticed there was a truck in his driveway. Zehntner lowered his plane a little so he could get a closer look at the person in the truck. He got close enough to see the person get out of the truck and look into the windows of Zehntner house and try and open the doors. The thief looked right at the plane and then continued to attach Zehntner's small utility trailer to his truck and drive off. Zehntner and his wife tried to call someone to stop him or contact the airport so they could land but it was too loud to hear so they followed him right until he got on the highway. They got a hold of the airport and as soon as they landed they called the authorities and the man was caught. He was arrested and charged with grand theft. Zehntner's trailer and belongings were safe and returned to him.
