Postpone Voting?
Many know about Hurricane Sandy and how it has effected people so much. Well since the powers out and everything is kind of trashed, what about the election? How are people suppose to vote when the power is out? And when are they going to have time to do that? Obviously their lives are busy enough trying to fix things and repair their homes. Many are asking if voting will be postponed until things are under control, but really, we can't postpone a voting. If that were to happen just because of one or two states having problem then it is Equal Protection Challenge and that could be brought into court. One of the options right now is for people to use paper ballads for voting in those states without power. There should be enough paper ready at hand in those places and voting will go on. The weather can't stop an election!

More On The Shooting In Pakistan: Arrests Made
Remember the teenage girl in Pakistan that was shot for blogging about rights and the Taliban? Recently, there were arrests made for the attack on Malala Yousufzai. There were connections to nine different men, they were all arrested. They have yet to find the leader of the group, Atta Ullah Kahn, he is still on the run. Sources are unsure is Kahn was the leader or the shooter. His family has been arrested even thought they were not involved in the attack. On the bright side, it looks like Malala will make a good recovery from her gun shot wound to the head. She is already starting to walk around. Ahough she cannot speak yet, she can write to communicate with people.

The Government Doesn't Choose The Prices
When gas prices go up, people are usually quick to think that it's all the governments fault and that they are the ones to blame for not making sure the prices stay lower. In reality, it's not the government at all, its our worlds fault. In the debate on Tuesday, Romney stated that the gas prices were based upon the Presidents energy policies and if the policy is working than prices go down. But that's not exactly true, the prices of gas are determined by market forces, not the government. If the President really did have a say in the price of gas, of course he would lower it. Especially right now, during election time, I'm sure if he lowered gas prices more people would vote for him. But in reality, he just doesn't have that kind of power to control something so wide spread and expensive.
Murder In DOco
Today in local news two teens were found murdered in Sister Bay. Austin Kissel(18) and Tim Alberts(17) were found in a dumpster behind local attraction Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant, both were found cut up into 43 pieces each. The murderer is suspected to be none other than the infamous Asa "Spades"Kastner. Kastner is guilty of 36 counts of manslaughter in the state of Wisconsin and is facing federal charges. Kastner has been unable to apprehend for the last 18 months. With every one of his murders he cuts the bodies into 43 separate pieces. Federal investigators believe that is Kastner's signature. The case is also being looked into as a copycat murder. The family and friends of the local teens will stop at nothing until the murderer is apprehended.

Teen Blogger Shot in Pakistan
On Tuesday October 9, 2012, a van in Pakistan was stopped and the three girls inside were all shot. The shooters singled out teenage girl, Malala Yousufzai and her wound was more life-threatening than the other two. The reason for this attack was because Malala was blogging about rights that teens have and how they should stand up for what they believe in. This girl is a role model for many all around the world, she's brave enough to do what many cannot, speak up. Malala says that this will not stop her and she will continue to spread her words of wisdom. The driver of the van was able to identify the shooter and turned them in.

Do Teachers Play Favorites?
People always joke about teachers having favorites, but is it really a problem? A man that is now a Freshmen in college is still remembering his 5th grade year when his teacher favored a fellow student and they got a lot of special treatment and got treats after class. Is it just a thing that just happens? Do teachers subconsciously favor other students or are they fully aware of the special treatment that some students are given? Most teachers try to be as fair as possible and teat everyone equally, but not every teacher goes by that philosophy. Is it good or bad to be favored, would you want to be singled out?
